New Students

Welcome to Muay Thai Masters Academy for New Student.

Many people consider taking up Muay Thai or Muay Boran for self defense, fitness, to achieve personal coals, to thrive in competition or to become part of the culture. As well as the obvious health and fitness benefits, students develop a greater degree of self awareness, confidence, focus, determination, discipline and how to handle themselves in confrontational situations.

We are a primarily a Traditional Muay Thai gym continuing over 2,000 years of developed martial arts from Thailand, this including Muay Boran, Krabi Krabong, Muay Chaiya and Muay Sangha. That said we also have many Orthodox Boxers and Kickboxers who train with us as well.

It is often hard to know what to expect if you have not been to a martial arts gym before. We have many training centers to choose from but at each you'll find a welcoming atmosphere structured with traditional Muay Thai values. Our protocols are designed to keep a respectful, humble, fun yet disciplined training environment. Not to worry if you don't know the protocols on your first few visits they are easy to learn. (See protocols page for more info)

We offer beginner, intermediate, advance and mix level classes. At each of our training centers you will find dedicated practitioners of the art, people who are super fit and have been training for many years. However you will also be training along teachers, office workers, accountants, bankers, builders, students and many others who are at different levels in their fitness and skill.  There is a great respect and comradeship between students of all levels. More advance students are keen to continue their development but they also know we all started fresh at one point and as the students around them get better so to does it make way for their training to also improve.

Our training centers are open to all, people with little or no previous experience in Muay Thai or any other martial art or people with varying levels of experience. As a beginner you taught the basic and fundamental techniques of Muay Thai before expanding on your newly acquired skills.

Humbleness, Respect and Discipline are the MTMA Warriors code. Each of our instructors are there to help you improve, honor them and yourself with this code and feel free to ask them questions you have regarding your training.
